Scholarships and Financial Aid

Ok, But How Do I Pay?

Cost is a frequently asked question when families are considering Notre Dame. We understand. Discussing whether or not to invest in a private school education has to, at some point, involve finances. If you and your parents have reached that point, we ask that you please invite us to join in your discussion. When it comes to cost, we have options. No student who wants to attend Notre Dame will be turned away for financial reasons.

When it comes to tuition, we have many options:

  • We have implemented a new cost-based-needs-based tuition plan. This will set tuition at a level more commensurate with the actual cost of a Notre Dame education.
  • Financial assistance may be available to you and your family based upon demonstrated need. Financial aid calculations are performed by a third-party provider (FACTS) and all financial information is kept confidential.
Individual tuition is then determined after we receive the information from FACTS.
  • We also offer academic scholarships to freshmen on a yearly basis. There is a special exam given to those students who meet set criteria. If you are an incoming freshmen and want to be considered for these scholarships, you must be registered by the first week of March of your eighth grade year.
  • Finally, each year we offer two incoming freshmen our “Hope Scholarship.” This special scholarship is endowed by the school, to offer two, full four-year scholarships to students in need.
